随着我国大中城市高层建筑禁止使用粘土砖,混凝土结构出现了施工复杂、工期长的问题。轻型钢结构受到工程界的青睐,已成为竞争力强的民用建筑结构体系之一。与传统的住宅建筑结构体系相比,高层钢结构不仅具有、、产业化的特点,而且具有强度高、重量轻、、抗震性能好的优点。

轻型钢结构是指以框架为主要构件,沿房屋的纵向和横向承受荷载和抵抗水平侧向力的结构体系。框架结构可分为半刚框架和全刚架两种,框架结构的梁柱应刚性连接。与其他结构体系相比,框架结构体系可以增加建筑的使用空间,适用于各种使用功能的建筑。结构各部分刚度均匀,但结构体系弹性刚度较差,属于单一抗侧力体系,抗震能力较弱。

框架-支撑结构体系是指以轻型钢结构建筑物的框架体系为基础,由一定数量的竖向支撑沿建筑物的纵向和横向布置而成的结构体系,属于双抗侧力结构体系。支撑架是一道防线,框架是第2道防线。

结构体系占用建筑面积小,能增加建筑使用空间;墙板具有较强的推力刚度和抗剪能力,适用于40层以上的高层建筑。但在初始受力阶段,由于剪力墙刚度较高,地震时容易出现应力集中,导致建筑物产生斜裂缝。
